Original Charcoal Sketch

This is a sketch I did of a pair of moose. It is 12"x9" and was made using willow, vine, and compressed charcoal. I was studying the values and positive and negative shapes of a rutting pair of moose for a larger work in oil that was sold through Masters Editions Galleries network that represents me based in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. The sketch is on paper and is sprayed with a fixative to keep it from smearing. The fixative, while protecting the sketch, can also cause it to wrinkle a little, so it is best to frame under glass.
