Original Charcoal Sketch

This is an original charcoal sketch on illustration board measuring 12"x9". It was done using vine and willow charcoal as well as a compressed charcoal stick. I was wanting to experiment with designing something in black and white first before deciding if I wanted to paint this subject. I have applied a fixative to this sketch to keep it from smearing. Framing under glass would best protect it from damage. I hope you like this sketch!
