Whitetail deer are one of my favorite subjects to both paint and draw! In my backyard we have a lot of them that come eat at our bird feeders during the fall and winter months. This big guy is racing for cover or the company of a doe. Either way I thoroughly enjoyed creating this and I hope you enjoy it too. I used vine, willow, and compressed pencil charcoal and sketched it on illustration board measuring 9"x12". I applied a fixative to guard against any smudging, but the sketch should still be displayed behind glass for safety and longevity. I hope you enjoy this whitetail charcoal!
